Vanja Grubač (born January 11, 1971 in Nikšić , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Montenegrin soccer player and today's soccer coach .
Career
As a player
Grubač began his career with FK Sutjeska Nikšić in 1998 and then moved to OFK Belgrade . Via Pierikos Katerini , Le Havre AC and Sporting Braga , he moved to the Bundesliga for Hamburger SV in 1998 , where he only played eleven games and scored two goals. His name got into the headlines because Zvezdan Terzić , the president of OFK Belgrade and the Serbian Football Association, allegedly embezzled around 600,000 euros when Grubač moved from OFK Belgrade to HSV. In 2000 he went to the Turkish amateur club Erzurumspor . He returned to OFK Belgrade after almost every station and played a total of five times for the Serbian first division club . His last positions were Dighenis Akritas Morphou from Greece and al-Wakrah SC from Qatar before Grubač ended his career.
As a trainer
Between 2009 and 2011 he was assistant coach at the Cypriot first division team Ethnikos Achnas . Since 2012 he has been assistant coach for Changchun Yatai FC in China .
