Vareilles is a village and a former French commune of 240 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Yonne in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ). It belonged to the Arrondissement of Sens and the canton of Brienon-sur-Armançon (until 2015 Villeneuve-l'Archevêque ). The inhabitants are called Vareillois .
With effect from January 1, 2016, Vareilles merged with the former municipalities of Theil-sur-Vanne and Chigy to form the Commune nouvelle Les Vallées de la Vanne and has the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality .
