Theil-sur-Vanne is a village and a former French community with 477 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Yonne department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ). It belonged to the Arrondissement of Sens and the canton of Brienon-sur-Armançon (until 2015 canton of Villeneuve-l'Archevêque ). The inhabitants are called Theillois .

Theil-sur-Vanne merged with the former municipalities of Chigy and Vareilles to form the Commune nouvelle Les Vallées de la Vanne with effect from January 1, 2016 , and has the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Theil-sur-Vanne.
