Vaughn Duggins (born July 10, 1987 in Fort Wayne , Indiana ) is an American basketball player . After completing his studies in his home country, Duggins began a professional career in Europe, where he first played two seasons from 2011 for the German first division club WALTER Tigers from Tübingen . For the 2013/14 season, Duggins moved to France to Le Mans Sarthe Basket.

Career

The 1.88 m tall shooting guard , who is also a point guard can be used, played 2006-2011 in the college basketball team Raiders of Wright State University in Fairborn ( Ohio ). His greatest success was reaching the finals of the NCAA tournament of the best 10 college basketball teams in the US Midwest ( Horizon League ) in 2010, after having been injured as "redshirted" for almost a season the year before. He graduated from Wright State University with a degree in management and marketing .

Duggins got his first professional contract in 2011 with the Walter Tigers Tübingen in the German basketball league . After failing to make it into the play-offs for the championship in the 2011/12 season , it was again just not enough to make it into the final round for the title in the 2012/13 basketball Bundesliga . Duggins then switched to the French LNB Pro A at Le Mans Sarthe Basket, where, in addition to his compatriot and former Bundesliga player Reyshawn Terry, he will also play with DaShaun Wood , with whom he had already reached the final of the Horizon League with the Raiders during his college days.

Duggins returned to Germany for the 2015/2016 season and played for cup winners EWE Baskets Oldenburg from 2015 to 2017 . In November 2017 he signed a contract with s.Oliver Würzburg , which was terminated in February 2018.
