Johan Frederik Wilhelm Veeren (born July 23, 1761 in Huissen ; † May 13, 1821 ibid) was a Dutch lieutenant colonel at the time of the coalition wars.

Johan Frederik Wilhelm was a son of Theodorus Coenradus Casparus Veeren (1720–1786), retired lieutenant. D. of the regiment van Kinschot , and the Anna Maria van Himberg. He was the grandson of Roedolf ​​Arnold Veeren (1685-1735), lieutenant and mayor of Huissen, and great-grandson of the lawyer Bernard Veeren († July 4, 1688; register of the Geldersch-Overijsselsche Studentenvereniging on November 12, 1663; mayor of Huissen 1682). His great-uncle was the ensign Bernard Veeren (born September 5, 1688, † July 11, 1708 in the battle of Oudenaarde ).

Johan Frederik Wilhelm began his military career on April 4, 1776 as a cadet in the regiment of Sommelsdijk , later von Pabst , became an ensign in September 1780 and a lieutenant in the same regiment on July 1, 1787. He was decommissioned on November 2, 1787 in the course of the disputes with the Patriots after the Prussian intervention , but reactivated during the Batavian Republic , and on July 8, 1795 he was captain of the 2nd half battalion of the 1st half brigade. He was retired on July 10, 1804, but returned to the 9th Line Infantry Regiment on March 2, 1807 as a captain. He joined the Veterans Corps on December 7, 1807 and retired on December 13, 1810. King Wilhelm I awarded him the rank of lieutenant colonel on January 1, 1815.

He had taken part in several campaigns: 1780 on the coast of Holland against England , 1784 in Holland against Austria, 1794 in Holland , 1796 in Germany, 1797 near Texel , on August 27, 1799 with the French Batavian army in North Holland against British invasion troops, and 1807 in Germany.
