Veit (singer-songwriter)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Veit (* 1975 in Rudolstadt , GDR ) is a right-wing extremist songwriter .

Life and musical work

Veit, who had completed an apprenticeship as a car mechanic and has been running a tattoo and piercing shop since 2000 , has been performing as a songwriter at events of the neo-Nazi Free Comradeship scene and the NPD / JN since 1997 at the latest .

In an internal study from the summer of 2003, the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution listed him as a “right-wing extremist songwriter” alongside Frank Rennicke , Daniel Eggers , Jörg Hähnel , Friedrich Baunack, Enrico Ehlert and Lars Hellmich.

Vitus' works show undisguised echoes of the time of National Socialism . For example, on the cover of the CD In a New Time, the picture of a National Socialist painter is used in which a man with martial muscles pushes open a steel door, behind which the black sun appears. According to Jan Raabe , an expert on right-wing rock , there is "the black sun ... as a substitute symbol for the swastika ". In his songs he glorifies people from the “Third Reich” , such as B. Rudolf Hess in Rudolf , Erwin Rommel in Wüstenfuchs and the German Wehrmacht ( German infantry , Im Krieg , Stalingrad ) and describes the so-called national resistance ( fatherland, the resistance , Germany , only for Germany , the opposition , there is still rescue for Germany? ...) including the agitation against punks and alternative young people ( Der veryliebste Punker ). He also deals with topics from Germanic mythology ( After Asgard , Odin's Justice , Odin , Road to Walhalla , Loki ) and the German Middle Ages . So the CD is a crown for the freedom of the German Emperor Otto I paid.

The CD Live with ballads contains numerous cover versions of right-wing extremist bands and musicians such as Landser , Ian Stuart Donaldson , Noie values and the like. Veit's publications are not indexed by the Federal Testing Office for Media Harmful to Young People , but the split CD produced in 1997 with Incitator Our Unity Makes Us to Power because of the glorification of violence and sedition was indexed and confiscated on March 7, 1999. The list only mentions agitators.

His musical work ended in 2006 with the release of the album The area of application is the whole world of a band project called "New German Offensive". Since that year he has not been actively involved in the scene and has not given any more concerts .
