Vera Bolten (born October 8, 1976 in Korschenbroich ) is a German musical actress and singer in the band chaosbaby .

Life

Already at school ( Korschenbroich high school ) the soprano took part in the musical group, which still performs musicals every two years to this day. In 1995 (while still at school; Abitur: 1996), 1997 and 1999 she won the advancement award in the national singing competition in the musical / chanson / song category, category B (1996 and 1997) and category A (1999). In the last year of her participation she also won the special prize of the German Stage Association for the best representation of a musical scene.

From 1996 she trained as a musical actress at the University of the Arts in Berlin. In addition to her studies, she appeared in various musicals (e.g. The Hunchback of Notre Dame). 2000 successfully completed her studies and left school. She was in the same year as Katja Berg , Claudia Stangl and Kathleen Bauer . From December 2004 until the end of production in September 2008, she played the leading role of Scaramouche in the Queen musical “ We Will Rock You ” in the Cologne Musical Dome. In the follow-up production of the musical in the Apollo Theater in Stuttgart since November 2008, she was represented as a walk-in for this role in the cast team. Vera Bolten is in a relationship with her colleague Alexander Melcher and has two children. After the birth of her second child, she devoted herself to the children's musical "Hexe Huckla and the totally crazy language machine", which was penned by Maricel Wölk; with this musical she toured elementary schools to bring the students closer to the English language. However, this was not her first appearance in a children's musical; In 1999 she already played a part in a recording of “Das SAMS” by Rainer Bielfeldt . From summer 2010 she was seen as a substitute for Jessica Kessler (first cast) in the Stuttgart musical "We Will Rock You". It was in April 2011 with Tick, Tick ... BOOM! on the stage of the Katielli Theater. The following summer she was Mimi Márquez in the musical Rent on the stage of the Ettlingen Castle Festival . In 2012 she first played the role of the lively Eve in “The Diaries of Adam & Eve”. And later she played the role of Frau Rotkohl in “A Week Full of Saturdays” at the Neersen Castle Festival. In 2014 she was seen as Sally Bowles in Cabaret at Theater Oberhausen, in November of the same year she took on the role of Christa Lubanski in the world premiere of “The Miracle of Bern” in Hamburg.
