Alex Melcher

Alexander "Alex" Melcher (born March 19, 1970 in Karlsruhe ) is a German musical singer. He is a member ( vocals ) of the group Grandfield .

Life

He completed his training at the Hamburg Stage School of Music, Dance & Drama . It was in the same city that he took on his first roles between 1993 and 1996. His path also took him to Vienna , where he took part in the German premiere of Tanz der Vampire in the ensemble. During this time (1997–1999) he could also be seen as Alfred .

He later played both Jesus and Judas on various stages in the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar by Andrew Lloyd Webber . In October 2002 he replaced Carsten Lepper as Luigi Lucheni in the musical Elisabeth , which was performed in Essen until 2003. At the Dernière he was on stage alongside Uwe Kröger , André Bauer and Kasper Holmboe .

He played the role of Galileo in the musical We Will Rock You in Cologne , Vienna, Stuttgart and Berlin, among others alongside his partner Vera Bolten . Meanwhile he was with her in the Katielli Theater in Datteln with the musical Tick, Tick… ​​BOOM! on stage. Later he was on stage at the same place with the same colleagues at the revival.

In 2011 he played the role of Trumper in the musical Chess . In 2012 he stepped in for Dennis Henschel at short notice for The Diaries of Adam & Eve and embodied Adam here. Again at the side of his partner, who played the role of Eve. As an alternating Udo, Melcher was seen from 2014 to October 2017 in the musical Hinterm Horizont (musical) in the Stage Theater on Potsdamer Platz . Since November 2018 he has been playing "Falco" in Bat Out of Hell at the Metronom Theater in Oberhausen .
