Association of Ferry Shipping and Ferry Tourism
The Association of Ferry Shipping and ferry tourism (VFF) is an association of European ferry shipping companies based in Hamburg . The ferry association was founded in 1995.
tasks
The main tasks of the association include the general representation of the industry, public relations, the implementation of training programs for the tourism industry as well as information about the entire area of ferry shipping.
The members
The association has 29 full members (ferry companies) and 21 extraordinary members from the tourism sector (as of April 2012). The VFF members operate ferries of various types in all European shipping areas, starting with the classic passenger ferry, via combination ferries such as cruise ferries (which also function as cruise ships ) and RoPax ships (also freight transport ) to high-speed ferries .
