Verena Bechtluft

Verena Bechtluft (born January 14, 1986 in Mainz ) is a German bowler. She achieved several titles in her bowling career and was honored several times for her sporting achievements and was allowed to enter in the golden book of Flonheim in 2004 .

At the age of seven she started at her parents' club, ESV Alzey . From 1998 ( Augsburg ) she was a multiple participant in the German championships.

In 1999 she became third German champion in the B youth class in Markranstädt . In 2001 Verena moved to Bundesliga club TSV Schott Mainz . There she played 40 Bundesliga games until 2004.

In 2002, with a new German record in Ludwigshafen-Oggersheim, she became German A-Youth Champion. This success brought her acceptance into the German national team . After several courses, she had her first international match in Lubin / Poland in October 2003 . Here she was the best player. In 2003 she was with the team of Tehalit Heltersberg German team champion of the A-youth in Sangerhausen . In March 2004 she was elected to the World Cup team following an international match against Slovenia in Ulm .

In 2004 she was able to take third place with the team in Viernheim and was second again in the individual.

The world championship took place in June 2004 in Bolesławiec / Poland . Here she was with the German national team 5. In the couple fight, with her partner Verena Stache, she became world champion with a world record. In the individual discipline she was runner-up in the world championship and with this result she was able to secure third place in the combination.

In 2004 she moved to the regional division Blau-Weiß Geldersheim . The first women's team has been promoted every year since this season and plays in the 2nd Bundesliga South in the 2007/2008 season.
