The Simmons Bank Arena is a multi-purpose arena in the US city ​​of North Little Rock in the state of Arkansas . The arena is north of downtown, right across the Arkansas River .

Surname

At the beginning of October 2019, the Verizon Arena received a new sponsored name with Simmons Bank Arena . Verizon indicated in 2018 that it does not want to renew the contract. In November of that year, the operators found their successor in the form of the bank. The Simmons bank paid 10.5 million dollars for the new name. The renaming took place on October 3rd as part of the 20th birthday of the multi-purpose arena, which has 400,000 visitors annually. A few days earlier, the old nameplate was removed from the arena. The foundation stone for the hall was laid on August 22, 1997. It was completed in 1999 and the opening took place on October 2nd of that year.
