Veronika Beci , maiden name Frohnhoff (* 1966 in Düsseldorf ) is a German musicologist and book author.

Life

Veronika Frohnhoff graduated from the Liebfrauenschule in Ratingen in 1983 . She then studied musicology , German and archeology at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster and Vienna . She completed her studies in 1995 with a doctoral thesis ... because everything comes from longing. Tendencies of an Eichendorff reception through the song, 1850–1910 on the setting of Joseph von Eichendorff's poems by Hans Pfitzner .

She researched the history of music in the 19th and 20th centuries as well as the topic of women and music, and published monographs and biographies on Joseph von Eichendorff, Clara and Robert Schumann , Richard Strauss , Giuseppe Verdi , Émile Zola , Franz Schubert , Eduard Mörike and the family Mozart .
