Veronika Moos-Brochhagen

Veronika Moos-Brochhagen (born April 3, 1961 in Bensberg ) is a German textile artist .

Career

Moos-Brochhagen studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Mainz with Elfriede Knoche-Wendel as well as philosophy and German studies , also at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz . She has been working as a freelance artist since 1988. In 2007 she did her doctorate at the University of Cologne on the subject: “The uncertainty of truth. Transparency of the concealment. A study on the sensuality of textile material in art using the example of old and new starvation scarves. “She works with or without textile material. In any case, her works are “textile” in the meaning of the Latin word texere, i. H. connect, construct, weave, braid.
