The Lower Saxony House

Lower Saxony has been represented in Brussels since 1986, initially in a joint office with the states of Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein, which is now the Hanse Office . The state representative office has been active as an independent state representative body in Brussels since 1991.

The state representation has had its seat since 2002 in the so-called Lower Saxony House in the Europaviertel of Brussels, near the seats of the EU institutions and numerous other state representations - in the Rue Montoyer. In Lower Saxony House also joint events with the northern German states and other partners are performed.

The Lower Saxony House also includes the representation of Haute-Normandie , a French partner region of the State of Lower Saxony, as well as the representative offices of the Lower Saxony employers' associations , Deutsche Messe AG and Salzgitter AG .
