The Erkheim administrative community in the Swabian district of Unterallgäu has existed since the municipal reform on May 1, 1978 . You belong as member communities:

The administrative association is based in Erkheim.

When it was founded, the municipality of Sontheim also belonged to the administrative community , but was dismissed on January 1, 1980 and has since been a unified municipality with its own administration.
