The administrative community of Mauern is located in the Upper Bavarian district of Freising and is formed by the following communities:

  1. Gammelsdorf , 1461 inhabitants, 21.63 km²
  2. Hörgertshausen , 1994 inhabitants, 21.48 km²
  3. Walls , 3124 inhabitants, 24.14 km²
  4. Wang , 2530 inhabitants, 31.19 km²

The administrative community was founded on May 1st, 1978. The seat of the administrative community is the castle in walls.

Community assembly and community chairperson

The community assembly consists of 14 people. Three each are provided by the communities of Gammelsdorf and Hörgertshausen and four each by the communities of Mauern and Wang, depending on the number of residents.

Paul Bauer, 1st Mayor of the community of Gammelsdorf, has been chairman since 2008. Georg Krojer, 1st Mayor of the municipality of Mauern, has been the deputy chairman since 2014.
