The Vicoin is a river in France that runs in the Mayenne department in the Pays de la Loire region . It rises near La Templerie , on the municipal boundary of Saint-Hilaire-du-Maine and Le Bourgneuf-la-Forêt . At first it flows in a generally south-westerly direction, but then turns south-east to south, passes just outside the departmental capital Laval and, after a total of 47 kilometers, flows into the Mayenne as a right tributary at the border between Nuillé-sur-Vicoin and Origné .
