Victor Kraus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Victor Kraus (* 1954 in Ansbach ) is a German painter.

Kraus studied from 1977 to 1982 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Horst Sauerbruch . He lives and works in Munich and Kinding .

In his work, Kraus deals with themes and the quality of painting of the classical modern age and develops them further in a contemporary, experimental and free way. The main theme of his partly large-format pictures is the landscape in its different manifestations - water surfaces, fields, sea and lake shores, also city landscapes as well as interiors and floral still lifes . There are also examples of figurative painting, although people are usually absent from his landscapes and interiors.
