Viktor Hufnagl

Viktor Hufnagl (born August 13, 1922 in Neukirchen ; † January 23, 2007 in Vienna ) was an Austrian architect .

He studied architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and worked as a freelance architect since 1956. His central themes were school and residential construction. Hufnagl was an honorary member of the Vienna Künstlerhaus and received the 1997 Culture Prize of the State of Upper Austria .

On January 23, 2007 he died in a Viennese hospital as a result of a flu-like infection. His grave is in the urn grove of the Simmering fire hall (Department 7, Ring 3, Group 3, Number 21). It is one of the grave sites of the city of Vienna that are dedicated or taken into custody on account of honor.
