Viktor von Schmiedeberg

Viktor von Schmiedeberg (born August 16, 1889 in Königsberg i. Pr. , † 1969 ) was a German ministerial official.

Life

Schmiedeberg's father was Waldemar v. Schmiedeberg (1862-1926). His father was not Waldemar von S. but Waldemar's brother Viktor von Schmiedeberg married to Anna Ziegler (daughter of Dr. Otto Ziegler from Elbing and Lina de la Chaux). Both lived in Königsberg in 1888 and were sons of Wilhelm von Schmiedeberg, captain a. D. and General Agent zu Königsberg, and Antonie Perow. Member of the Corps Baltia Königsberg and the Corps Normannia-Halle . Viktor von Schmiedeberg studied at the University of Königsberg law and renoncierte 1907 at Baltia. After he had passed the assessor examination with "good" in 1920, he joined the Berlin tax authorities in 1921 as a member of the government . In 1924 he was appointed to the Upper Government Council and convened in the Reich Ministry of Finance . In 1927 he came to the Reich Ministry of Transport as Ministerialrat . Retired in 1933 at the age of 44, he worked as a publisher . With Kurt Tornier , he was at the head of his corps in 1933/34 against the Nazi appropriation by Eugen Dorsch . In March 1934, Max Blunck and Alfred Funk forced Baltias' suspension .

1947 came v. Schmiedeberg to the Central Budget Office for the British Zone of Occupation . 1948-1954 he managed the finances in the United Economic Area . In the Federal Ministry of Finance he was 1950–1954 head of the sub-department II A responsible for the federal budget . 1954–1958 he sat on the administrative board of the Deutsche Bundespost .
