Vila Vila is a town in the Cochabamba department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

location

Vila Vila is the central location of the Municipio Vila Vila in the Mizque Province . The village is located at an altitude of 2534  m on the right bank of the Río Wila Wila , a tributary of the Río Mizque .

geography

Vila Vila lies between the mountain ranges of the Cordillera Oriental and the Cordillera Central . The climate is characterized by year-round spring-like temperatures and low rainfall.

The annual average temperature of the region is around 20 ° C (see climate diagram) and an annual precipitation of 550 mm. The warmest month is November with an average temperature of a good 22 ° C, the coldest months are June and July with around 17 ° C. From April to October the dry season prevails with precipitation below 25 mm, the wettest months in the long-term average are the months December to February with more than 100 mm.

Transport network

Vila Vila is located 109 kilometers by road southeast of Cochabamba , the capital of the department of the same name.

From Cochabamba the paved road Ruta 7 leads in a south-easterly direction 33 kilometers to Tolata , from there a dirt road over twelve kilometers further south via Cliza to Toco . From there the road continues for 64 kilometers to the southeast via Matarani and Sacabamba to Vila Vila .
