Villentrois is a village and a former French community with 586 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Indre in the Region Center-Val de Loire . It belonged to the canton of Valençay in the arrondissement of Châteauroux . The inhabitants are called Villentroyens .
With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Villentrois and Faverolles-en-Berry were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Villentrois-Faverolles-en-Berry and have the status of a Commune déléguée there . The administrative headquarters are in Villentrois.
