Vincent Alexandre Édouard Élie Jordy (born January 20, 1961 in Perpignan ) is a French clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Tours .

Life

Vincent Jordy was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Strasbourg on June 28, 1992 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on September 19, 2008 titular bishop of Idassa and auxiliary bishop in Strasbourg. The Archbishop of Strasbourg , Jean-Pierre Grallet OFM , donated him episcopal ordination on November 11th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Christian George Nicolas Kratz , Auxiliary Bishop in Strasbourg, and Pierre René Ferdinand Raffin OP , Bishop of Metz . As a motto he chose Faites tout ce qu'Il vous dira .

He was appointed Bishop of Saint-Claude in the French Jura on July 22, 2011 and was introduced to the office on October 16 of the same year. Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Tours on November 4, 2019. The inauguration took place on January 5th of the following year.
