Vincent King

Vincent King (actually Rex Thomas Vinson ; born October 22, 1935 in Falmouth , Cornwall ; died May 2000 in Kerrier , Cornwall) was a British science fiction writer and artist.

Life

King attended the Redruth School of Art , then studied at Falmouth College of Art from 1952 to 1957 , then from 1959 to 1060 at the West of England College of Art in Bristol and from 1960 to 1962 at the University of London . From 1963 to 1968 he worked as an art teacher at schools in London , Bristol and Newcastle upon Tyne and since then in Redruth .

In 1961 he married Jean Blackler, with whom he had a son and a daughter. In 1978 the marriage was divorced.

In 1966 he published a first story in the anthology New Writings in SF 9, edited by John Carnell . His debut novel Light a Last Candle followed in 1969 . His novel Another End was also translated into German in 1973.
