The former Mairie

Vindefontaine is a village and a former French commune with 315 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Manche department in the Normandy region . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Cherbourg and the Canton of Sainte-Mère-Église .

With effect from January 1, 2016, the former parishes of Picauville , Amfreville , Cretteville , Gourbesville , Houtteville and Vindefontaine were merged to create the Commune nouvelle Picauville of the same name . The former municipalities have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative seat is in Picauville.
