Vinny Vella
Vincent Frank "Vinny" Vella (born January 11, 1947 in Greenwich Village , New York City , † February 20, 2019 in New York City) was an American actor , talk show host and comedian . He often played a gangster in more than forty films. He was best known for the role of Artie Piscano in Martin Scorsese's Casino .
Life
Vincent Frank Vella was born on Bleecker Street in Greenwich Village, New York City. His father, who owned a fish shop in Little Italy , was from Bari and his mother was from Naples .
Vella died of liver cancer in his home in New York City in the presence of his family . He leaves behind his wife Margaret Ann Hernandez and a son Vincent "Vinny" Vella Jr.
