Viran Morros de Argila (born December 15, 1983 in Barcelona ) is a Spanish handball player . He plays in the left back for French club Paris Saint-Germain , but is mainly used in defense.

Career

Morros began his professional career at FC Barcelona . He moved within the Spanish league in 2003, first to SD Teucro , then to Ademar León . From 2007 he ran for BM Ciudad Real before returning to his hometown club in 2011. He has been under contract with the French first division club Paris Saint-Germain since the 2018/19 season .

With the Spanish national team , he has played 220 international matches , in which he scored 163 goals. At the 2011 World Cup , he finished third with the Spanish team , and fourth at the 2012 European Handball Championship , when he was named the best defensive player. In 2012 he took part in the Olympic Games and took seventh place. At the 2013 World Cup in his own country, he won the title with Spain. The following year he won bronze at the 2014 European Championship . In 2018 and 2020 he was European champion with the Spanish team .
