The Vischelbach is a 10.5 km long orographically left tributary of the Ahr in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate ( Germany ).

The Vischelbach rises about one kilometer northeast of Maulbach in the Flamersheim Forest at an altitude of about 374  m above sea level. NHN . From here the stream flows to the east, then south through the Vischelbachtal nature reserve and between Berg and the district of Freisheim . It flows past Vischel Castle and flows into the Ahr in Kreuzberg .

Catchment area and tributaries

On its 10.5 km long path, the stream experiences a difference in altitude of 203 meters, which corresponds to a mean bed gradient of 19.3 ‰. The 18.7 km² catchment area drains via the Ahr and Rhine to the North Sea .
