Vita is a municipality in the free municipal consortium Trapani in the region of Sicily in Italy with 1897 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

Location and dates

Vita is 38 km southeast of Trapani at an altitude of 480  m slm . The inhabitants live on an area of ​​8 km². The inhabitants of Vita, the Vitesi, live mainly from agriculture.

history

The parish was founded in 1604. A small hamlet has existed here since the Middle Ages. When earthquake in 1968, the village was partially destroyed. It was rebuilt further down the valley.
