Paceco is a city in the Free Community Consortium Trapani in the region of Sicily in Italy with 11,148 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

Location and dates

Paceco is 7 km south of Trapani . The city of Paceco covers an area of ​​58 km². The inhabitants live mainly from the salt production or from agriculture, in particular from viticulture and cultivation of the yellow melon ( cucumis melo ), a specialty of this region.

The districts are Castellazzo, Culcasi, Dattilo, Dattilo Soprano, Lago Baiata, Marino, Murana, Nubia, Pecoreria, Specchia, Verderame.

The neighboring towns are: Erice and Trapani. Paceco borders Trapani to the north as well as to the south and divides the municipality of Trapani into two parts.

history
