Vittoria della Rovere (born February 7, 1622 in Pesaro , † March 5, 1694 in Pisa ) was the wife of Ferdinand II. De 'Medici Grand Duchess of Tuscany.

Vittoria was born in 1622 to Federico Ubaldo della Rovere and Claudia de 'Medici . In 1623 she lost her father. Her mother Claudia de 'Medici returned to Florence and promised the two-year-old her cousin Ferdinando , heir to the throne of Tuscany. In 1626 Claudia married Leopold V of Tyrol ; her daughter stayed in Florence and was raised by her grandmother Christine of Lorraine .

Vittoria was the last della Rovere and was considered the heir to the Duchy of Urbino . After the death of her grandfather Francesco Maria II in 1631, however, Urbino fell to the Papal States. Vittoria inherited the rich art collection of the Della Rovere family as well as their ancestors and predecessors as the dukes of Urbino, the Montefeltro , and had them brought to Florence. Today the collection is part of the Uffizi Gallery .

In 1634 the marriage between Vittoria and Ferdinand, which had been promised in 1623, was concluded. The marriage was very unhappy, after all, the two lived separately in two opposite wings of the Palazzo Pitti .

Two of the offspring of the two reached adulthood:

  1. Cosimo III. (1642-1723),
  2. Francesco Maria (1660-1711).
