Vittorino Girardi MCCJ (born March 24, 1938 in Lendinara , Province of Rovigo , Italy ) is an Italian religious and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Tilarán-Liberia .

Life

Vittorino Girardi joined the religious community of the Comboni Missionaries in, put the profession on September 9, 1962, received on 30 March 1963 in the Lateran Basilica , the ordination .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Tilarán on July 13, 2002 . He received his episcopal ordination from the Apostolic Nuncio in Costa Rica , Archbishop Antonio Sozzo , on September 21 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Román Arrieta Villalobos , Archbishop of San José de Costa Rica , and Héctor Morera Vega , Bishop Emeritus of Tilarán.

On February 6, 2016, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
