Manuel Eugenio Salazar Mora (born October 9, 1958 in Guadalupe , Costa Rica ) is a Costa Rican clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Tilarán Liberia .

Life

Manuel Eugenio Salazar Mora studied at the National Seminary of Costa Rica and received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of San José de Costa Rica on December 4, 1982 .

After further studies, he obtained a degree in fundamental theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University . In addition to various tasks in pastoral care, he was director of the preparatory seminar and the national seminar. He headed the religious education department of the Bishops' Conference and was Episcopal Vicar for prophetic pastoral care in the Archdiocese of San José de Costa Rica . Since 2014 he has been pastor in Moravia .

On February 6, 2016, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Tilarán-Liberia . The episcopal ordination received his his predecessor Vittorino Girardi MCCJ on April 4 of that year. Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of San José de Costa Rica, José Rafael Quirós Quirós , and the Apostolic Nuncio to Costa Rica, Archbishop Antonio Arcari .
