Vladimir Osmajić (born March 17, 1980 in Plužine , Yugoslavia ) is a Montenegrin handball player . He is 2.00 m tall and weighs 101 kg.

Osmajić, who plays handball for the French club Fenix ​​Toulouse and plays for the Montenegrin national handball team, is mostly used in the left back space.

Career

Vladimir Osmajić made his debut for RK Red Star Belgrade in the first Serbian-Montenegrin league. There he won the national championship in 1998, but was more and more in the shadow of other teams in the following years. In 2002 he switched to city rivals and then champion RK Partizan Belgrade, and in 2003 he won the championship again. However, he received only a few operating times, so that he initially joined Železničar Niš in October 2003. At the end of the season he moved on to UHK West Vienna in Austria, where he played for two years; In 2006 he went to Nit-Hak in Norway. In April 2007 he was signed by the Spanish first division club BM Altea to replace Alexander Buchmann ; However, when the club gave up its gaming license in the summer due to financial problems, Osmajić was hired by SC Szeged in Hungary. In 2010 he signed a contract with the Slovenian club RK Koper . Three years later he moved to the French first division club Fenix ​​Toulouse Handball.

Vladimir Osmajić had already played international matches for the national handball team of the former Serbia-Montenegro when he became a Montenegrin citizen in 2006. Since then he has been playing for the newly founded Montenegrin men's national handball team . With this he will also take part in the 2008 European handball championship in Norway.
