Voltri is a residential area in the extreme western periphery of the Italian port city of Genoa . The distance to the city center of the Ligurian capital is around 17 kilometers.

Today's cityscape is determined by oversized buildings that stand in contrast to the traditional Ligurian architecture (small, two-story houses).

From an administrative point of view , Voltri belongs to the Municipio VII Ponente and is in turn subdivided into the districts of Voltri , Crevari and Vesima or the Genoese part of Acquasanta . Taken together, the city quarter has a population of 13,498.
