Brause (also Brudzewski, von Brause-Brudzewski, von Braussen) is an old, originally Pomeranian noble family that used to be called Brudzewski and whose parent company Brausendorf ( Brudzewo ) is located in the Meseritz district .

history

The family first appeared in a document in 1256 with Jarand Brudzewski , son of Ladislaus . The line of tribe begins with Jarand Brudzewski , 1421–1428 voivode of Inowrocław . The widely ramified family was wealthy in the Poznan area, and from the 17th century also settled in Saxony and Prussia .
