The Vorderste Kahle Berg is a mountain in the north-western Odenwald, about 2.5 km east of Darmstadt . The 192.0 m high mountain in the Darmstadt forest area is heavily forested. To the east of the Vordersten Kahler Berg is the Hinterste Kahle Berg . To the east of this is the Scheftheimer Wiesen nature reserve with the Ruthsenbach . The green pond is located south of the mountain . To the west of the mountain is the Oberfeld . The mountain is surrounded by the Letschbach to the south, west and north .

etymology
To Old High German calo and Middle High German kal with the meaning "bald". Bare, ungrown or cleared areas gave the name. Situation in Darmstadt: The documents with the stem vowel / o / probably show a dialectrically dulled stem vowel. They are therefore too bare and not part of coal .
