The Waschbach is an approximately 13.9 km long left tributary of the Salzbach in the eastern districts of Wiesbaden . The upper reaches of the Laundry stream bears the section name Lindenbach .

course

The Waschbach rises as a Lindenbach on the southwest slope of the Steinkopf at the northern end of the Heßloch district . Its valley forms the Hessloch boundary in the north, west and south. Across the border, in the Bierstadt district, the Lindenthaler Hof was named after its location near the brook.

After running for almost three kilometers, the Lindenbach flows into the Lindenbach from the left and north-east in the traditional naming convention used on official topographical maps. This stream also forms part of the boundary of Heßloch, in the southeast. The Waschbach then describes an approximately five-kilometer-long right curve at a great distance around Bierstadt and turns its direction of flow from southeast to southwest. His path in this section leads him first through the center of Kloppenheim and then limits the local situation of Igstadt . Igstadt is on as undercut slope of Wäschbachtals relatively steep east side. At the end of the long curve to the right, the Waschbach is the only other noteworthy tributary of the Quirnbach to flow from the right and north from the local area of ​​Bierstadt.

The Waschbach is the namesake for the Erbenheimer Verein: "The Laundry brook stilts" Erbenheimer Kerbegesellschaft 1960.
