The electoral district of Bohemia 11 was a constituency for the elections to the House of Representatives in the Austrian Crown Land of Bohemia . The electoral district was created in 1907 with the introduction of the Reichsrat election regulations and existed until the collapse of the Habsburg monarchy .
history
After the Reichsrat had decided on the general, equal, secret and direct male suffrage in autumn 1906, the major reform of the electoral law through the sanctioning of Emperor Franz Joseph I came into effect on January 26, 1907 . With the new Reichsrat election order, a total of 516 electoral districts were created, with one member being elected in each constituency with the exception of Galicia in the course of the Reichsrat election. The MP had to prevail with an absolute majority in the first ballot or in a runoff election. The constituency of Bohemia 11 included the city of Royal Vineyards (Vinohrady) without the part belonging to electoral district 10 .
From the Imperial Council election in 1907 was Josef Herold ( Young Czechs ) emerged as the winner. He won the runoff election against the national-social candidate Josef Sláma . However, Herold died in May 1908, whereupon replacement elections had to be held. In these, Sláma prevailed in the runoff election with 62 percent against the young Czech grains. In the 1911 Reichsrat election , his party colleague Otakar Hübschmann was able to achieve an absolute majority in the first ballot.
