After the Reichsrat had decided on the general, equal, secret and direct male suffrage in autumn 1906, the major reform of the electoral law through the sanctioning of Emperor Franz Joseph I came into effect on January 26, 1907 . The MP had to prevail with an absolute majority in the first ballot or in a runoff election. The constituency of Bohemia 70 comprised the judicial districts of Přestitz , Taus (excluding the communities Haselbach, Prennet, Tannawa, Vollmau, water soups), Neugedein (excluding the communities Braunbusch, Donau, Hirschau, Kaltenbrunn, Marberg, Neumarkt, Schneiderhof, Viertl) and the communities Chotimiř , Elstin, Franowa, Kamenzen, Křenowa, Kwitschowitz, Lohowa, Lohowtschitz, Malonitz, Motscherad, Podiefuß, Putzlitz, Schekarschen, Stankau Markt, Tschirm, Wostratschin (all judicial districts Bischofteinitz ). However, the cities of Přestitz , Taus and Neugedein (all constituency 31 ) were excluded from the electoral district .
