The Tyrol 19 electoral district was a constituency for the elections to the House of Representatives in the Austrian Crown Land of Tyrol . The electoral district was created in 1907 with the introduction of the Reichsrat election regulations and existed until the collapse of the Habsburg monarchy .

history

After the Reichsrat had decided on the general, equal, secret and direct male suffrage in autumn 1906, the major reform of the electoral law through the sanctioning of Emperor Franz Joseph I came into effect on January 26, 1907 . With the new Reichsrat election order, a total of 516 electoral districts were created, with one member being elected in each constituency with the exception of Galicia in the course of the Reichsrat election. The member of parliament has to prevail with an absolute majority in the first ballot or in a runoff election. The constituency Tyrol 19 comprised the judicial districts Malè , Cles and Fondo , with the communities Laurein , St. Felix , Our Lady im Walde (all judicial district Fondo ) and Proveis ( judicial district Cles ) belonging to the constituency 14 being excluded from the constituency.

In the 1907 Reichsrat election , Emanuel Lanzerotti from the Trentino People's Party emerged victorious. He got almost 81 percent of the vote in the first ballot. In the 1911 Reichsrat election , his party colleague Rodolfo Grandi also won the first ballot with 66 percent.
