The electoral district Tirol 24 was an electoral district for the elections to the House of Representatives in the Austrian Crown Land of Tirol . The electoral district was created in 1907 with the introduction of the Reichsrat election regulations and existed until the collapse of the Habsburg monarchy .
history
After the Reichsrat had decided on the general, equal, secret and direct male suffrage in autumn 1906, the major reform of the electoral law through the sanctioning of Emperor Franz Joseph I came into effect on January 26, 1907 . With the new Reichsrat election order, a total of 516 electoral districts were created, with one member being elected in each constituency with the exception of Galicia in the course of the Reichsrat election. The member of parliament has to prevail with an absolute majority in the first ballot or in a runoff election. The constituency Tyrol 24 comprised the judicial districts Condino , Tione , Val di Ledro , Riva and Arco , with the cities of Riva and Arco belonging to constituency 7 being excluded from the electoral district.
From the Imperial Council election in 1907 went Baldassare Deluga of the Trentino People's Party emerged as the winner. He got 82 percent of the vote in the first ballot, followed by the candidate of the Italian national party with 17 percent. In the 1911 Reichsrat election, Deluga was able to successfully defend his mandate with 83 percent in the first ballot. The Social Democrats' candidate came in second with 15 percent.
