The constituency of Zittau I was a state electoral district for the state elections in Saxony in 1990 , the first state election after the re-establishment of the state of Saxony. Its constituency number was 31.

The constituency comprised parts of the Zittau district : Bertsdorf , Großschönau , Hainewalde , Hartau , Jonsdorf , Lückendorf , Olbersdorf , Oybin , Waltersdorf and Zittau .

For the 1994 state elections , the constituency structure was changed as a result of the district reform, and the number of constituencies was reduced from 80 to 60. The area of ​​the constituency of Zittau I became part of the constituency of Sächsische Oberlausitz 2 in 1994 .
