The constituency of Bautzen I was a state electoral district for the state elections in Saxony in 1990 , the first state election after the re-establishment of the state of Saxony. Its constituency number was 32.

The constituency comprised parts of the Bautzen district : Bautzen , Commerau b. Klix , Crosta , Doberschau , Großdubrau , Klix , Luppa , Luttowitz , Milkel , Neudorf / Spree , Niedergurig , Oppitz , Quatitz , Sdier and Stiebitz .

For the 1994 state elections , the constituency structure was changed as a result of the district reform, and the number of constituencies was reduced from 80 to 60. The area of ​​the constituency of Bautzen I became part of the constituency of Bautzen 2 in 1994 .
