The Wahnbach is a 15.3 km long, northern and right tributary of the Prims in Rhineland-Palatinate and for the most part in the urban area of Wadern in the Merzig-Wadern district in Saarland .

The Wahnbach has its source in Rhineland-Palatinate on the eastern flank of 695  m above sea level. NHN high devil's head west of Wadrill . After a short distance it is the border river between Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland. In the Saarland it flows through the nature reserve Oberes Wahnbachtal and then the nature reserve Unteres Wahnbachtal - Kirmesbruch west of Wadern . It flows south of Steinberg , through Morscholz and through the Noswendeler Bruch nature reserve . The brook temporarily divides, flows through the Noswendeler See and then through Bardenbach . It flows into the Prims south of Bardenbach on the northern outskirts of Büschfeld .
