Callum Eddie Graham Wilson (born February 27, 1992 in Coventry ) is an English football player who has been under contract with AFC Bournemouth since 2014 .

Career

Coventry City

Callum Wilson, who came from his own youth academy, made his debut for Coventry City on August 12, 2009 in a 0-1 home defeat by Hartlepool United in the 2009/10 League Cup . After his league debut in the 2010/11 season, he was used in eleven league games in Football League One 2012/13 and scored his first competitive goal for his home club on March 12, 2013 against Colchester United . In the Football League One 2013/14 he became a regular player for the table eighteenth. With 21 goals in 37 league games, he was one of the top four scorers in the third division.

Bournemouth AFC

On July 4, 2014, AFC Bournemouth announced the signing of Callum Wilson. For his new team, he scored 20 goals in the Football League Championship 2014/15 and thus had a significant share in winning the second division championship and promotion to the Premier League .

English national team

In November 2014, Wilson was nominated for the first time for the England U-21 national team . He played his first competitive game on November 17, 2014 in a 3-2 defeat by the French U-21 national team when he came on for Harry Kane in the 66th minute . Wilson made his debut on November 15, 2018 for England's senior team in a 3-0 win over the USA , where he also scored his first international goal for the final score.
