Mihai-Alexandru "Alex" Dobre (born August 30, 1998 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian football player . The midfielder , who mostly plays on the right flank , moved from FC Viitorul Mihai Georgescu Cluj to England to the first division AFC Bournemouth in the summer of 2016 .

Career

Dobre left home at the age of 14 to play in distant Cluj . In the summer of 2016 he was hired by the English first division club AFC Bournemouth . There he was initially intended for the U-21 selection and after a year he was loaned to third division FC Bury for the rest of the calendar year at the end of August 2017 . He made his debut at 2: 3 at Rotherham United as a substitute and Dobre played a total of ten league games - three of them from the start. On January 18, 2018, he moved on to third division rivals AFC Rochdale , where Dobre made five substitutions in the league by the end of the 2017/18 season; on the occasion of the debut, he scored his first goal to make it 3-0 at FC Walsall on March 6, 2018. In mid-January 2019, another loan engagement was agreed with fourth division club Yeovil Town , although he was with the club at the end of the 2018/19 season Bottom of the table, Dobre was a regular with 21 appearances in the starting XI.

In the summer of 2019 Dobre was incorporated more into the Bournemouth professional squad. Coach Eddie Howe increasingly used the Romanian U-21 selection player in the preparation for the season and initially refrained from any further rental campaign.
