society
The 1.82-meter-tall striker was born in Basingstoke to a Nigerian father and an English mother and began his career in 2004 with the youth club FC Chelsea . During the 2013/14 season, he played 25 league games and scored 20 goals for the club's reserve team.
On October 18, 2014, during Diego Costa's injury break , Solanke was nominated for the game against Crystal Palace , which the club lost. That same week, October 21, he made his UEFA Champions League debut. In the 6-0 win against Slovenian club NK Maribor in the UEFA Champions League , he was used in the 73rd minute. This makes him the youngest Champions League player in the club's history.
In August 2015, Solanke was awarded for the entire season to the Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem . There he came to a total of 25 missions, 21 times he was in the starting line-up. During this time, Solanke scored seven goals and prepared one goal.
After the season Solanke returned to Chelsea to play in the first team. The striker did not succeed in this, however, so he was nominated only once for the squad in the Premier League , two further appearances for the first team followed in the EFL Cup . Despite three appearances, he did not get a single assignment.
In the Premier League 2, Solanke made five appearances in the 2016/17 season. The striker scored two goals.
On May 30, 2017 it was announced that Solanke would be joining Liverpool at the beginning of the 2017/18 season.
After 21 Premier League appearances for the Reds , Solanke moved to league rivals AFC Bournemouth in early January 2019 for a transfer fee of 21.2 million euros .
