The village of Waizenfeld is part of the municipality of Pommelsbrunn in the district of Nürnberger Land in Bavaria . The village belongs to Middle Franconia and lies between Hartmannshof and Heldmannsberg on the plateau of the Middle Franconian Alb . Neighboring towns are Hartmannshof , Guntersrieth , Heldmannsberg , Aicha , Mittelburg and Stallbaum in the north, starting clockwise . The origin of the place goes back to the 10th to 13th centuries. The place name probably comes from a region cultivated with wheat . "Field" can be seen here as a contrast to "Forest".
