Kleinviehberg is a district of the municipality of Pommelsbrunn in the district of Nürnberger Land in Bavaria .

The hamlet belongs to Middle Franconia and lies between Hohenstadt and Großviehberg on a plateau of the Middle Franconian Alb . Neighboring towns are Alfalter , Eschenbach , Hohenstadt, Hersbruck and Großviehberg beginning in the north .

The place name Kleinviehberg probably comes from a first farm where mainly cattle were raised. The first written mention of the place goes back to February 8, 1326. On this day, the then feudal lords of Hohenlohe- Brauneck sold the place together with Hohenstadt to the Nuremberg burgrave Friedrich IV.

Kleinviehberg and the neighboring Großviehberg were districts of the former municipality of Hohenstadt. With the municipal reform in 1972, Kleinviehberg was incorporated into Pommelsbrunn, while Großviehberg came to Hersbruck.

Communal roads lead to Großviehberg and Hohenstadt.
